GET YOUR CHILD’S CAR OR BOOSTER SEAT CHECKED

We know our children are to be in a car seat, booster seat or seat belt, depending on their age and size. IT’S THE LAW. But do we know if the car seat or booster seat is attached properly?

Go to http://www.safekids.org/ and find out the time and location of the next “Safe Kids Buckle Up Car Seat Check” event. Trained personnel will check the attachment and harness straps.

If you can’t make one of the scheduled events, go to http://www.nhtsa.gov and enter your zip code. You will be given a list of the nearest hospitals and clinics that offer free testing of your child’s car seat and booster.
